"It's so nice to finally meet you!" An older woman exclames as she embraces me. "It's nice to have a face to put the name to."
"May I take your coat?" I hand her my coat and follow her down a long hallway. The walls are overly decorated with fine artwork I'm sure cost a fortune.
"I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to look at your portfolio, but I'm sure we can do that now. That is if you don't mind..." she turns and looks at me.
"No, that would be great, I'd much rather go over them with you," I tell her. I'm lying. I wish she would have looked at my pictures without me there. I hate seeing myself in pictures.
She sits down on a red Louis XII couch and lights a cigarette. She tells me I may sit if I like. I decide to sit facing her so I don't have to look at myself. I also want to be able to watch her reaction when she sees my portfolio. She opens it up and takes a look.
I pull at the strings on my Burberry scarf. She is making me nervous. I wonder what she's thinking about.
"Beautiful skin," she comments, looking up at me. "and those eyes"
